Life @IIM Ahmedabad

I have been here for 4 months finished my first term which was a roller coaster ride..and have started stating that I m here for the learning and not the grades( a statement you would hear from people who dont want to reveal their grades here ). This place is competitive all right ..with people willing to actually sit up all night to study .. which is something I have never seen anywhere else before.

Yesterday in our dorm we had a birthday celebration and the person had to talk about his interest and the second most interesting activity for him was studying all day .......the first was a given :).

The second term is expected to be less stressful as compared to what we experienced in the first term. We had a lot of papers and OM was a difficult paper for many especially during the start but then later on people were able to get the hang of it. Being the birthday manager of my dorm requires me to know how to make decent ppts ...with god level ppts going around ..my below average ppt was something that people didnt even bother looking at...

Hopefully in the coming months my skills at this department will improve.
